Air New Zealand’s debut of Boeing 787-9 services to Perth comes as the airline’s second 787-9 is prepared for delivery after completing its first flight over Washington State. ZK-NZF took off from Everett field on Sunday, September 14 local time and was in the air for one hour and 49 minutes before landing at Moses Lake, according to flight tracking website flightaware.com.

Another piece of news from the MRC blog last week, pics are emerging (photo on this post by Royal S King) of the second AirNZ B789 in the new white and black livery making its first public appearance at Paine Field before delivery..

Air New Zealand’s Boeing 787-9 ZK-NZF MSN 34335 has broken cover at Paine Field these last couple of days as it prepares to make its first flight and be delivered to Auckland during the third week of September.

Boeing have ruffled a few feathers so to speak at the Farnborough International Air-show this week performing some truly impressive manoeuvres in pre-show rehearsals that resulted in the show organisers blocking other operators from performing touch-n-go’s. Check out this amazing demonstration in this video coz chances are you won’t be seeing this in real life any time soon

Flight 1 ATR repaints for new Mt Cook liveries

Ethan Ward of the New Zealand General Aviation Repaints group page on Facebook has posted screenies of a couple of Flight 1 ATR liveries he’s done of the new AirNZ / Mt Cook Black and White liveries. In particular the ATR 72-500/600 ZK-MVB and ZK-MCF variants. They look great and kiwi simmers who own the Flight1 model will want to keep an eye on his FB page for details about the download locations once their released.
